You gestured to him when you were speaking as a Dadfluencer. He had luxuriously wavy dark brown hair and was wearing a light green knit polo shirt and dark plaid slacks with light brown loafers and no socks.
I remember corralling my three daughters down the street, no makeup, hair scrunchied, clothes akimbo, and running into a sales exec I used to work with--back in my high heeled, power suit days. I couldn't help but feel I validated her career choice but that may have been an ungenerous projection. She may have viewed my chaotic mess with wistfulness for the road not taken.
In any case a well-coiffed dad is one I view with suspicion. But perhaps Tyler is showing you can do it all. And I agree--there's nothing like getting to dress up and step out when that's no longer the norm!
The Dad content I crave! What a pity it's the other side of the ocean - sure it will be a fascinating conversation (I once asked Matt Y for more Dad content, I hope he gives us a run down on Slow Boring!).
Aw shucks, I was hoping I could convince you to say positive things about me to Jerusalem at the event tonight. Guess I'll have to settle for Matt instead 😏
Darby, sorry I’ll miss you at Politics and Prose. I’m usually in Maryland but right now we’re in Italy dealing with the aftermath of our house fire. Have a great evening -- DC is a great book town and P&P the best spot by far!
It was a great party; I met lots of very interesting people. And I wasn't left out of the dialogue because I am neither a dad nor a dadfluencer.
I’m glad that you were there, and that you had fun!
Dadfluencer is going into my vocab pronto!
There was one such gentleman there who was so impeccably dressed and had such nice hair I nearly fell over.
I wonder who it was! I spotted several well-dressed people there

Oh yes! It was Tyler from tidydadnyc! A dadfluencer for sure.

So fun to be included! Please let Jason or I know if you need anything from the top shelf.
Love these book launch/road trip/memory lane entries! Also Dan is your biggest superfan--he's beaming with pride in every photo. ❤️❤️❤️
Heading to NY right now a few days too late. But I’ll see you soon in Oakland!
I love the way your husband and daughter look at you with proud, adoring eyes

In any case: see you in a few hours! 😉

I’m sorry to miss you, but Italy sounds like a nice escape!
You're really doing the book tour right. Love it.
Um but where's the review of Dollywood (one of my kids is desperate to go!)
We haven't gotten there yet! NYC-->Philadelphia-->DC-->Virginia-->Dollywood!
Ah sorry, I see! Looking forward to your pivot as travel influencer!
loved the party and celebrating with you IRL!
